Children in the Andes mountains, like wildflowers and weeds

Today is Children’s Day, writing about the children I saw in the mountains of Peru. In the depths of the Andes mountains live many Inca descendants who maintain ancient traditions. These ancestors lived in the highlands, spoke Quechua, lived in simple thatched stone houses, and lived on grazing. HUACAWASI, a small village at 3800 meters above sea level in the mountainous area of Lares, is one of them. The transportation is inconvenient and there is no road access. It takes 4 hours on foot to reach.

HUACAWASI village is located in a wide valley, and the river formed by the snow in the mountains is rushing between the valleys.

There is a football field on the side of the valley, which is a paradise for children.

The most important landmark in the village is this church and bell tower. It is very simple and rudimentary, and it should be some years.

The villagers are in good condition and live in a small two-story building. Poor conditions, living in a stone thatched house.

According to the convention in the mountains, the children are a little dirty, but they look simple and cute.

Their clothes and accessories are very unique in their mix of colors and styles. They can be used in children’s fashion magazines if they take a photo properly.

The little bouncing fur worn by the little boy is made of wool, colorful, practical, beautiful and warm.

These three little pot friends entertain themselves, chasing and making troubles, and are very happy. Their playful sounds wafted in the valley, and the silent plateau was suddenly full of vitality, and people’s mood was also brilliant!

I am such an audience, and three babies performed a show. They jumped on a big rock and sang high-five cheers, as if they were on stage.

Under the blue sky and white clouds, their innocent smiles, their hair flying in the wind like chaotic grass, remained deeply in my memory.

I can’t watch their performance in vain. I found three pieces of coconut candy and gave them one piece each. Seeing how overwhelmed they are, they know they rarely eat sugar.

The little girl on the right was eating sugar and immediately got close to me. She pulled me with a cold little hand and pointed to the house at the back of our camp. I immediately understood what she meant, but fortunately I came and found a bag of macaroni and sugar bought in the market in the morning as a gift, and followed her into the cottage that she lived in. The room is very dark and it takes a while to adjust to the surrounding environment. The room is very simple, every inch of space is used. The corner of the cabin is filled with firewood. The stove is cleverly designed to fire 3 at the same time. Compared with the cold wind, the house is very warm. There is also a cat at home, sitting firmly in the warmest corner:)
